Template Builder
Purpose
The Template Builder is designed to:
- facilitate the definition of local rules
- ensure local rules stay within the bounds of:
- the ISO/IEC 15962 standard
- specific application standards
- allow multiple templates to be created to meet different scenarios
- enable the most pertinent data elements for each scenario to be encoded first in memory
- be intuitive and easy to use
Key Features
The Template Builder has the following key features:
- It provides a graphical tree-based representation of the data elements in an application standard
- It enables easy modification of local rules to allow:
- unwanted optional data elements to be removed
- the sequence of data elements to be set so the most important data elements for a given scenario are first
- data element validation to be made more strict than that imposed by the application standard
- It prevents changes in a template that would breach the application standard (e.g. removal of a mandatory data element)
- Saved templates can be used by both the RFID Data Builder and RFID Data Doctor tools
